If you live or work in Central Reading, this convenient service is available right here on your doorstep.

What This Service Offers

Our qualified pharmacists provide a clinical blood pressure assessment in a private consultation room to ensure accuracy, comfort, and confidentiality.

Please Note: Only eligible customers are free of charge. See below sections for eligibility.

A quick and reliable in-pharmacy blood pressure measurement using validated equipment.

If your reading is high, we may offer 24-hour blood pressure monitoring to confirm whether treatment is needed.

Personalised lifestyle guidance on diet, exercise, salt intake, weight management, and smoking cessation.

With your consent, we will share your results with your GP to ensure continuity of care.

Who Is Eligible?

You can access the NHS Blood Pressure Check Service at Saood Pharmacy if:

  • You are aged 40 years or over

Why Regular Blood Pressure Checks Matter

High blood pressure is one of the leading causes of:

  • Stroke
  • Heart attack
  • Kidney disease
  • Vascular dementia

Because it rarely causes noticeable symptoms, many people in Reading may be living with high blood pressure without realising it. Early detection can prevent serious health complications.

What Happens During the Appointment?

The entire process is simple, safe, and designed to give you peace of mind.
