TRAVEL VACCINES in Central Reading (RG1 7LL)
Planning your next trip? Saood Pharmacy in Reading offers private travel vaccinations, including Hepatitis A, Typhoid, Rabies, Tetanus, Diphtheria & Polio, and more. Get travel health advice and the vaccinations you need to help you travel with confidence.
Not sure which vaccines you need?
Travel vaccination requirements can vary significantly between destinations. Before your appointment, we recommend having your destination, travel dates, itinerary and previous vaccination history available.
Our pharmacy team can assess your travel plans and discuss which vaccinations may be suitable for you.
When should I have my travel vaccinations?
Ideally, arrange your travel health consultation at least 6–8 weeks before travelling. Some vaccinations require more than one dose or need time to provide protection.
Even if you are travelling soon, it is still worth speaking to us. Depending on your circumstances, there may be vaccinations or other travel health measures that can still be considered.
Travel Vaccinations We Offer
Depending on your destination and travel requirements, our private travel vaccination service may include:
- Hepatitis A – recommended for travel to many countries where hepatitis A is more common.
- Typhoid – particularly relevant for travel to areas where food and water hygiene may present a higher risk.
- Hepatitis A + Typhoid – a convenient combined vaccination where both are appropriate.
- Tetanus, Diphtheria & Polio (Td/IPV) – boosters may be recommended depending on your vaccination history and destination.
- Rabies – may be recommended for travellers at increased risk of contact with animals, particularly during longer or adventurous trips.
- Japanese Encephalitis – may be recommended for certain longer stays or travel to rural areas of countries where the disease occurs.
- Tick-Borne Encephalitis (TBE) – may be recommended for travellers spending time outdoors in areas where infected ticks are present.
- Cholera – vaccination may be appropriate for certain travellers depending on their destination and individual circumstances.
